Like I said earlier, I love nature. I decided to make almost the same idea as my block print, but in this case I decided to do a flower to capture almost the same idea as i did before, about nature. This time I did a flower, a happy flower, not like my block print that was a sad one. I wanted to have another view on nature, and I thought it would be a good idea to make this one another different story as I did for the rest.
Meaning behind my piece:
I wanted to make almost the same thing like I did with my Block print, something to do with nature, I decided to make a flower for this one to capture the nature look. I wanted to do a happier side of nature. That's why I did a flower, but not a normal flower, I wanted to give it another whole different look. I wanted to make it spiky with a different view point. Not all flowers have to look the same. That's what I wanted to capture, the idea of difference. That different is beautiful. Because if we were all the same, it would be very boring, no one would find the difference between them and would just think they are all flowers are the same and not give to much importance to them because of the same reason. In other words being different is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's better to be different than being simple.
Process:
First what I did was I looked for some flowers on the internet to have an idea of how to do mine. I looked at different pictures of drawings, I had some ideas. I did some sketches also. Then after that I decided to chose that one, not only because it looked better but also because it was cleaner. It had more detail and had more meaning behind it. Then I decided what idea I wanted to do I had to think harder to make sure I was choosing the right details. When I had it drawn I had scratched it with a professional tool. When I was done I covered it with ink and then took it all off with a newspaper except for the ink that feel in the scratches. The ink that feel in there was then passed to another paper which had been in water for 8 min and when I put my dry point into the other wet paper, the paper got printed on it. On my first try I had my final result.

Reflection:
I think I did a very good job with my dry point, but something that I would have changed would be to maybe make my whole print bigger to almost cover all my paper. But after all I think I made a very detailed piece and very different from everyone else's which was one of my goals. Some techniques that I learned from doing this art work was that they don't have to look like the rest of the flowers out there.
